Solomon's Rest

A Christian Outreach Center

Prayer Round The Clock - Bismarck Tribune - May 24, 2007: This is an article that was printed in the Bismarck Tribune on May 24, 2007.  The article provides a history of Solomon's Rest and the building that we call "home."

Solomon’s Rest mission is to fulfill the Scripture of Luke 4:18-19:
18) The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me too preach good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,  19) to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

What We Believe

Solomon’s Rest believes in the truths as revealed in Holy Scripture.

  • The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.
  • When we follow John the Baptist’s call to repent, we surrender our sins to God’s mercy and we become sons and daughters of the Most High God.
  • The righteous will prevail.  “Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father.” v.43  (cf. Mt. 13:36-43)
  • Our highest calling is to a Mary of Bethany intimate love for God with all our hearts and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
  • We are called to a Sermon on the Mount lifestyle.

 Goals

Ministries:

  • To establish and support 24/7 House(s) of Prayer.
